This is the first property you see on arrival at the main entrance on the Camino del Monte. The south-facing terrace is immediately inviting with its sofa, wind chimes and sun bleached dining table and chairs giving it a cheerful, beach-house vibe. It has a large sunken living room with an open fireplace, two built-in sofas and a fully equipped kitchen separated from the main living space by an Andalucian tiled breakfast bar. The décor fuses Moroccan bonhomie with an English country cottage look to great effect and is complimented by the works of local artists. The main bedroom and bathroom are at the back of the house, and a flight of stairs leads up to a bright, colourful twin room, that leads to the roof terrace. From here you get dazzling views of the natural park as well as the Atlantic Ocean and the Trafalgar lighthouse. On clear days you can often see the mountains of Morocco and the lights of Tangier and it’s a great place to watch the sunset. For a family this is a handsome, self-contained house with lots of character and plenty of different spaces for socialising or getting some down time on your own.

Casa Karen 2 and Casa Karen 1 can be connected via a pretty terracotta-tiled courtyard to form one large house that sleeps six to eight.
